Storage

The term 'Storage' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' The retention of water or delay of runoff either by planned operation, as in a reservoir, or by temporary filling of overflow areas, as in the progression of a flood wave through a natural stream channel. See reservoir capacity'.

The term 'Storage' as it applies to the area of photovoltaics can be defined as ' This term has dual meaning for water pumping systems. Storage can be achieved by pumping water to a storage tank, or storing energy in a battery subsystem'.
