Enfaced paper -- A term applied to the promissory notes
issued by the Government of India (known as rupee pnper)
when they bear on their face notification that interest on them
can be collected by presenting the notes at the Bank of England
in London. The interest is paid in drafts payable in
India. These drafts are readily bought by parties having remittances
to make to India.
