Aggregation -- In broad terms, gathering together units and components in order to create a combined entity that is more compact and visible. In personalized finance, account aggregation is a service available on the Internet and usually offered without imposition of a charge. Information from a number of sources is merged on one web page to which the customer has access with a private username and password. In corporate finance, aggregation refers to the process of handling as a single request the investment applications of diverse operating units. In futures trading, it is the consolidation of all the positions held or controlled by a dealer. This is done in order to observe reporting guidelines.
